"Lil' T, aka Michael Tello, has always had strong ties to West Coast collective Uniting Souls and serves as head producer behind PillowTalk, with a track record that also runs through Wolf + Lamb and Touch of Class. His new single R U Ready is the debut release on Flammable Audio, the label launched by Brian Lyons and Jordan Strong out of Flammable, the long- running Seattle house club.
The original has a thick, warm, and irresistibly driving energy and expertly layered jackin’ rhythms, centered on a a stirring flow from New York lyricist CHiPS, whose delivery gives the club track a sublime magic. Seattle veteran Doza (Lawnchair Generals, Sublevel) turns in a Vocal Remix deep in filter-house territory with serious acid undertones, plus a stripped-back Dub Remix for the DJs who want the tools. Pezzner (Classic, King Street, Get Physical) reimagines the original through his signature musical lens. Jazzy drums, soulful Rhodes, subtle horn arrangements, and a powerful low end combine to create a richly textured remix that is both deeply emotive and undeniably dancefloor-ready. Closing the package, Jordan Strong (Uniting Souls Music, Sublevel, Wind Horse), co-founder of Flammable Audio, drops the Fonke Deluxe Remix, which pays tribute to the club’s enduring legacy with a timeless, groove-driven vintage house interpretation.
